Counselling in Rickmansworth and Chesham
I am a BACP-accredited counsellor with 15 years of experience working with adults and young people. I'm also trained to work with families and have a separate practice as a mindfulness teacher.
Most people who visit this site are trying to find ways to deal with difficulty. I’m passionate about working alongside people to help them rediscover their inner resources and to reconnect with what’s important in their lives.
As a counsellor, I’m here to listen unconditionally and to help make sense of thoughts and feelings. I do believe that when we are truly ‘heard,’ we start to relax -- to trust ourselves -- and it becomes easier to recognise what we need.
I feel strongly that my role is to help people to understand themselves and their relationships better, to find stability and clarity at difficult times and, sometimes, to make choices and changes in life.
I've helped people facing a variety of challenges, referring them onto specialist services if necessary.
Areas I work with
OCD and phobias
Low self esteem
I offer weekly appointments in both Rickmansworth (WD3) and Chesham (HP5).
Individual counselling sessions last for 50 minutes and I charge £45 per session. If money is a barrier for you, please give me a call to discuss. I set aside a number of reduced-fee sessions for lower-income clients.
For family work, please call me to discuss fees and how best to tailor sessions to your family.
